DR. PÉTER GORDON, PHD IN EE, MBA – EFI TEAM LEADER

Péter was one of the founders of the failure analysis activity at BME in 2004 and took over the EFI Team leadership in 2010. As a university lecturer and researcher Péter is responsible for the integration of the new results gained day-by-day both into the education and the EFI projects.
Furthermore, Péter composed the short introductions of the Team members which you can read below.

DR. TAMÁS HURTONY, PHD IN EE, MPHYS – SCIENTIFIC LEADER

Tamás is the most interdisciplinary member of the EFI Team. After completing his MSc in electrical engineering, he also gained his master’s degree in physics. The topic of Tamás’s PhD thesis was the study and characterization of the intermetallic compounds of lead-free solder joints. Tamás is also involved in space-science related projects.

RÓBERT KOVÁCS, MSC IN EE, CIT – OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Róbert was also one of the founders of the failure analysis activity at BME. He is responsible for the daily operation of the EFI team, all threads, at least once, meet in his hands. He is not afraid of any kind of problems, no matter if he needs the smallest screw-driver on Earth, or a jigsaw, or just some adequate words to solve them.

DÁNIEL RIGLER, MSC IN EE, CIT – FAILURE ANALYSIS ENGINEER

It is easy to make Daniel happy in his work. All you need to do is send him a really complex case. He is constantly looking for new experiences. Daniel will quickly prepare an analysis plan for you and by the time you answer, he will have already completed a literature study on the case. Daniel would also win the speed-analysis competition on a SEM. Any challengers? Remember; never try to give him a routine-exercise.

BARNABÁS WINKLER, MSC – FAILURE ANALYSIS ENGINEER

Barnabás graduated in electrical engineering with a BSc and specialized in electronic manufacturing technologies. He is currently completing his MSc studies in engineering and management. He has been an enthusiastic memeber of the EFI team since 2012.

ISTVÁN GUBÓ, CIS – TECHNICIAN

István is the top-notch technician of the EFI team. István came as a professional of a completely different field but since he joined us he has been doing an excellent job at learning the secrets of electronics production. He is attending the technology courses of BME-ETT and has also completed an IPC course, so now he is a Certified IPC Application Specialist (IPC-A-610F).

Our professional staff consists of electrical engineers who completed their specialized studies in electronics production technology. All experiences gained during our projects are shared and discussed within the EFI team on an everyday basis so can we continuously improve our expertise and we can provide our customers up-to-date and valid answers. We are specialized on the failure analysis of electronic product manufacturing. Hence our people have deep understanding both in failure analysis methods and in diversified manufacturing technologies. This results in the competence in effective communication by perceiving the problem and the competence in recommending specific acts to improve manufacturing processes.
